Children’s Online Privacy Policy:
In accordance with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Fairhaven Pediatrics is committed to protecting the privacy of children related to the use of our sites and applications. This COPPA policy explains how Fairhaven Pediatrics collects information, disclosure and parental consent practices for information provided by or about children under the age of 13.
The information we collect: our registration process allows for the entry of information about children by a parent or guardian as well as healthcare providers. That information is retained in compliance with applicable HIPAA law. Children cannot directly register with our sites and applications. During the user registration process, we may ask the parent or guardian of a child to provide certain information for notification and security purposes, including a parent or guardian’s email address, the child’s name and gender, the parent’s member or account username, and password. We also may ask for birth dates of children a parent or guardian have added to the application to validate their ages. What we will not do: Fairhaven Pediatrics will have no direct contact with a minor child via email, text, instant messaging or other online platforms. All communications about a child will be conducted between the authorized parent or guardian and their healthcare provider that is delivering healthcare services via our Telehealth application. No personal information about a child will be made available to the public.
We may share information with our business associates if necessary to perform a business, professional or technology support function – always in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable laws.
Choice/opt out and corrections: To opt out of email communications from us or be removed as a user please email us.
